The Collectors Room
Collectable Dolls are made collectable by limiting the edition, production time, and clothing. Most collectors think porcelain, but now there is a wide range of materials used to create beautiful and individual dolls such as wood, cloth, vinyl, resin, clay, hard plastic, and life-like silicon material.
A doll lover should choose the doll that appeals to their eyes. In this room, Monarch Collectibles displays Dolls made in the United States and all over the world. German made dolls are by Zaph, Gotz, Sonja Hartmann, and the renowned Artist Hildegard Gunzel.
Dolls from Australia by Gwen McNeill are examples of the exquisite work of art being produced in the international world of dolls. Dolls dressed in authentic costumes from around the world such as India, Spain, and Germany are the special limited edition series produced by Adora. Porcelain dolls made in America are produced by Wendy Lawton, Dolls by Jerri, House of Hampton, Vicki Walker, The Collectables, and Virginia Turner.
Other porcelain dolls designed by American artists are Marie Osmond with Charisma, Georgetown, Ashton Drake, Boyd’s and Seymour Mann.
The Fashion doll Gene, Madra, Tyler Wentworth, Alexander Alex, and I Love Lucy by Franklin Mint are always popular with collectors. Teddy Bears by Tilly Collectibles add a velvet touch to the room along with cute Muffy Bears and the Raikes Bear Collection.
