About Us
The Cabbage Patch interest in the early 1980’s created a whole new interest in doll collecting and in doll making. Many new artists and doll companies began presenting their beautiful and unique dolls at the doll shows. Established in 1983, Monarch Collectibles opened the showroom with a large selection of dolls by Madame Alexander, Royal House of Dolls by Artist Miss Elsie, House of Global Art, Artist Marjorie Spangler, Corolle, Shader China Doll Co. by Artist Ken Shader, From The Heart Orginials by Artist Lynne Laber, Steiff Collection Dolls, Ideal Shirley Temples, Robin Woods Originals, Gorham, Reed and Barton, and of course Cabbage Patch by Original Appalachian Artworks Inc.In 1990 the owner, Sandra Bradley, realized she needed to expand which meant designing and building the big, beautiful blue 6000 square foot Queen Anne Style House as seen in the picture. Today many of the doll artists and companies have become past history, but their dolls are still sought after and very collectible. New Companies and Doll Artist as well as the Collectables from the past fill the store giving our customers over 3000 dolls to choose from. Monarch Collectibles also expanded the Miniature and Dollhouse selection, with over 15 dollhouse models on display.?
Limited edition plates decorate the walls giving our customers many choices and ideas for decorating. Teddy Bears add the final touch to our lovely décor.
